Tammy Jo McCollam was the lucky winner of our raffle basket at the Rainier Oregon Historical Museum's open house on Sept. 9th. Congratulations, Tammy!

We had a good turnout (55 guests signed the guest book). We had only positive comments from everyone that attended our open house. There was a steady stream of people in and out until we closed at 4:00. Jan Everman was there, and she will be donating the wooden model of the tug Climax that Kay Heflin's uncle Rocky built. The Climax is the tug that Howard Everman worked on throughout his career at Wilbur Smith Tug and Barge. Another guest at the open house, Phil Fake, offered to make us any model of the tugs for which we can provide a photo. He is a local artist. He came by the museum on Saturday and Kay Heflin gave him a folder of pictures and the history of the Elsinore. He will start by building us a 2 Ft. model of the Elsinore. Tammy Jo McCollam, winner of the ROHM raffle basket, was in Saturday to collect it. Her family has many historical images that she offered to put together and share with us. Mary Scott also attended, and she also will be sharing a photo album that was copied from glass negatives of the Yanze/Giepel family.
